Other Visual Language Research

I looked into other types and forms of visual language such as themes, styles, colours and textures i could possibly include into my production. I was browsing videos on the web and came across this one which then inspired me and made me think i could base my production on a time/ movement/ journey sort of theme. By this i mean portray the aspect of time through the movement or journey from location A (being the start) and location B (being the end). Heres the video that i came across:

This then inspired me to come up with the idea of filming a train journey from one station to another.
Here is the footage i took:

I also looked at the the speech itself of Martin Luther King Jr expressing his views and ideas to the people. I noticed that because it was recorded there and then, the cameras had the old 8mm scratchiness to it. So i thought i could include this style in my production to make the footage i take older and warn. To do this i would have to use Adobe After Effects in order to create the effect or i could find the effect from a website that specialises in After Effects. Below is the original speech from Martin Luther King Jr:

As you can see, it has the 8mm film which gives it that scratchy effect

I then found an 8mm film clips that was in fact filmed on an 8mm camera so you can't get anymore authentic then that. I got this 8mm film clip from an after effects tutorial website:

www.videocopilot.net - This is a well known tutorial website in the world of motion graphics using after effects.

The film i then uploaded on my private youtube account just to embed it into this blog:
